Sherman Pl. to be Closed April 23 for CTA Construction
Creation of a staging area will begin for the replacement of the Dempster St. CTA Purple Line viaduct on Monday, April 23, 2012.
In order to facilitate the viaduct replacement, construction crews will need to close Sherman Pl. between Dempster St. and Greenwood St. Local bank and residential traffic will be allowed. The closure will last approximately until the roll-in of the actual bridge on the weekend of June 22-24.
