City-sponsored Spring Photo Contest Set for May 5
Spring has sprung and who better to help us capture the spirit of Evanston in bloom than you! The City of Evanston invites local professional and amateur photographers alike to help capture the beauty of Evanston across all spectrums on a single day. The next session of Day in the Life of Evanston: A Photo Story, Spring Edition will be held all day on May 5, 2012.
The city launched the Day in the Life of Evanston program in hopes of capturing Evanston through the seasons by holding a
'"photo day" during each season. Our inaugural event last fall was a wonderful success and we can’t wait to see what residents capture this time around!
Photographers of all ages and expertise levels can share their vision of Evanston as seen through the lens of their camera. Be it a little league game or a trip to the farmers' market, we want to see your interpretation of what it means to live in Evanston.
Please submit photos taken only on this day and email them to 112632325572641222410.dayinthelife@picasaweb.com. Make sure you include the title of your photograph and artist name in this format: "photo title" by "artist name."
All photographs must submitted by May 11, 2012. All submitted photos will be posted on the City of Evanston's website and 32 photos will be selected to be part of our Day in the Life of Evanston, Spring Edition printed photo book which will be made available for purchase. For more information, please contact Adelita Hernandez at ahernandez@cityofevanston.org.
