Evanston Financial Advancement Summit Set for May 16
The City of Evanston is happy to announce the Financial Advancement Summit set for Wednesday, May 16, 2012. The summit is sponsored by Aldermen Peter Braithwaite (2nd Ward) and Jane Grover (7th Ward). The summit will focus on populations in Evanston that are under-served in banking and discuss strategies for their participation in mainstream banking.
The Summit will feature keynote speakers Dr. Robert Mayer from Loyola University, Annette Charles from the Chicago United Way and Lucy Mullany from the Illinois Asset Building Group. Speaker sessions will be followed by discussion among Evanston not-for-profits and banking institutions to identify solutions. This event is open to the general public. The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the Lorraine H.
