50th Anniversary Celebration for International Friendship Garden

The Rotary Club of Evanston will hold a ceremony at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Rotary Club of Evanston International Friendship Garden. The ceremony will be held in the International Friendship Garden, which is located in the Ladd Arboretum.

Rotary International President Kalyan Banerjee will plant a Himalayan Pine Tree, native across the north of India, in the garden. Evanston Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl will present Mr. Banerjee with a key to the City of Evanston. Following the ceremony, a reception will be held at the Evanston Ecology Center, 2024 McCormick Blvd., Evanston. Parking is available in the Ecology Center parking lot, just across Bridge St. from the Ecology Center. The Friendship Garden is located just west of the parking lot.
