"Home" Opens at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center June 30

Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre will present the must-see drama, Home, from June 30 through July 15, 2012, at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center in Evanston.

Home is Samm-Art Williams’ coming-of-age story about a young black man from Cross Roads, North Carolina. Originally produced to great acclaim by the Negro Ensemble Company, Williams was nominated for a Tony Award and a Drama Desk Award. Home is brilliantly inventive, lyrically expressive, and joyfully performed. It will certainly be one of the happiest theatrical events of the summer.

Performances will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Saturdays and at 3:00 p.m. on Sundays. The Noyes Cultural Arts Center is located at 927 Noyes St. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 if purchased on the performance date. A preview performance will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 29; preview tickets are $5 at the door. For box office information, please visit www.cityofevanston.org/fjtheatre or call 847/448-8254.
