Mayor Tisdahl Honored at Piven Theatre Workshop Gala
City of Evanston Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl was honored at the Piven Theatre Workshop Gala held at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center on Saturday, June 23. Mayor Tisdahl was recognized for her outstanding support of the arts in Evanston with the first named seat in the proposed new theater to be built at the Noyes Center as part the proposed expansion of Piven’s company at the Center.
Several hundred people turned out for the gala, including actor Jeremy Piven, whose parents founded the Piven Theatre Workshop. Piven came to the event from London, where he is filming the new television series, “Mr. Selfridge,” for the ITV network. The Noyes Cultural Arts Center is located at 927 Noyes Street, Evanston.
