Share your Thoughts with Metra, Take a Survey

Metra is soliciting input from riders and residents on its mission, vision for the future and projects on which Metra should focus. City of Evanston officials highly encourage the public to take this 10 minute online survey

The City of Evanston has already been able to work in a collaborative way with CTA to address infrastructure needs with the replacement of three viaducts in Evanston and the completion of repair work of a CTAtakesurvey.png retaining wall along Chicago Ave. and now is looking forward to working with Metra.

In the fall of 2011, Metra CEO Alex Clifford and UP North Line officials toured Metra infrastructure in Evanston and Alderman Don Wilson (4th Ward) testified before a Metra budget meeting discussing Union Pacific Railroad infrastructure needs in Evanston, amongst other topics.

“The City of Evanston truly appreciated CEO Clifford’s visit to Evanston last fall. We appreciated him spending time reviewing the infrastructure needs that the city believes are important,” explained Alderman Wilson, a daily rider of Metra’s UP North Line. “It was a great opportunity for him to see the city and really get to see first-hand what we, as elected officials and residents, believe are important infrastructure needs and to prioritize what we as a city are looking to accomplish.”

“Chicago already has a plan in the works and under way, and I am happy that they are conducting this online survey. I highly encourage residents and riders alike to participate,” Alderman Wilson concluded.
