Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre's Late-Summer Events

Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre's summer season is going strong in August, with several performances over the next few weeks.  All performances take place at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center, 927 Noyes St., and all performance times are at 7:00 p.m. on Saturdays and 3:00 p.m. on Sundays.

The Dramatic Reading Series features Woza Albert! on August 11 and 12 and Going to St. Ives will be read on August 18-19. Tickets are $5 at the powerful story about how two women get acquainted over tea and touches on dictatorships in post-colonial Africa.

The Summertime Blues Set will feature Chainsaw Dupont and will be held on Saturday, August 25. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.

The Summertime Gospel Celebration Concert highlights some of the best local gospel singers and will be conducted by Reverend Kenneth Cherry. The concert will be held on Sunday, August 26. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.

Finally, teens have until August 9 to sign up for the free Second City Teen Improv Workshop, which will be held on August 11. Space is limited; click here for more information.
