construction.jpgThe Illinois Department of Transportation will be contracting road resurfacing work on Church Street from Gross Point Road in the
Village of Skokie to Dodge Avenue in Evanston. This project involves curb replacement as needed, pavement patching, replacement of asphalt surface from curb to curb along with roadway striping/pavement markings, including any incidental construction. The funding for the project will be from Illinois Department of Transportation funds and there will be no direct charge for the property owners on these streets.

The limits of work on Church Street include Gross Point Road to Dodge Avenue.

Construction will begin the week of August 27, with the entire project expected to be fully completed by mid-October. The construction activities will create some inconvenience for abutting residents, but we will attempt to minimize these problems.

The project is under the supervision of Illinois Department of Transportation. The Resident Engineer in the field will be Larry Pray, who will be directly responsible for all aspects of the construction. If you should have any questions or concerns, please contact the Resident Engineer at (847) 329– 7146. Questions about the street resurfacing projects in general should be directed to Sat Nagar, P.E., Senior Engineer at 3-1-1.
