Howard Street Gallery "True North" Opening Sept. 9
Howard Street Gallery invites the public to the opening of Erik DeBat's new show "TRUE NORTH." An opening reception will be held September 9 from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. at 747 Howard St.
DeBat considers his artwork contemporary urban canvases where he enjoys commenting on society and things he loves. His use of symmetry and color intuitively transcends throughout his work with the use of photography, typography, drawing and painting techniques. "I like symmetries and an organic design method. I use color, image, movement, drawing, and type to help achieve my visual ideas." Recently, he has exhibited at the Swope Art Museum, IUN Gallery for Contemporary Art in Indiana, the Beverly Art Center, the Chicago Cultural Center and Firecat Projects in Chicago.
