Procurement 101: How to do Business with Large Local Entities

The City of Evanston, in conjunction with several large Evanston entities, will be hosting a seminar entitled Evanston Procurement 101 on February 8, 2013. This seminar will help inform local businesses and contractors about how they can do business with six of Evanston’s large entities.

Participants will learn from these entities about their procurement processes, anticipated projects and bidding practices. The purpose of this seminar is to assist in increasing local business opportunities. The entities giving presentations at the event are the City of Evanston; Northwestern University; Rotary International; Brinshore Development, LLC.; School District 65; and School District 202.

The event is sponsored by the City of Evanston’s Minority, Women and Evanston Business Enterprise Development Committee.  It will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Friday, February 8, 2013, in the Parasol Room (4th Floor) of the Lorraine H. Morton Civic Center located at 2100 Ridge Ave.
