Evanston Police Honor C.P.A. Class Number 37

The Evanston Police Department wants to extend congratulations to the graduates of Citizen’s Police Academy (C.P.A.) Class Number 37 which had commencement last night, May 22nd at Northwestern University’s Hardin Hall located at 633 Clark St.  The Honorable Dorothy Brown, Clerk for the Circuit Court of Cook County was the featured guest speaker along with Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl and Chief Richard Eddington.

Class number 37 had twenty-seven individuals complete the twelve week program that takes place at the Evanston Police Department on Wednesday nights from 7:00PM to 9:30PM and continually coordinated by Police Officer Loyce Spells of the community strategies unit. Each year two sessions take place, one beginning in Spring and the other towards Fall for adults along with a condensed summer session for teenaged youth.

This year, registration will be changed to an on-line submission form available in June for the Fall session of 2013. Again congratulations to the 27 graduates which now join a total of 851 Citizen Police Academy graduates since the program was started.  This year's Fall session will begin on Wednesday, August 28th.
