Posted on Monday Jun 17, 2013

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) will be performing work on the tracks near Washington Street June 22 and 23. The CTA work will require the temporary closure of one lane of traffic between Chicago and Custer Avenues (see map below).

The work includes the craning of equipment and material from the south lane of Washington Street between Chicago Avenue and Custer Avenue.

One lane of traffic will be maintained for both directions utilizing traffic control. Parking in areas will be restricted as needed. The sidewalk on the south side of Washington Street will be closed. There will be flaggers assisting pedestrians and traffic at all times during working hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
