Fleetwood-Jourdain Center
Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center offers a wide range of services to the community.
The community center has indoor facilities to accommodate activities such as karate and art classes, as well as an outdoor playground. Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center also provides extensive after-school and summer camp programs for children. Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center opened in 1956 and is the oldest community center in Evanston.

New Senior Lunch Programs
The City of Evanston Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department was awarded over $40,000 in funding for a senior congregate lunch program. The grant is administered through AgeOptions, the regional agency that distributes federal funding under the Older Americans Act. The grant offsets the cost of each meal and no eligible senior shall be denied participation because of inability to contribute.
The Levy Senior Center, 300 Dodge Ave., serves lunch on all five weekdays, while Fleetwood-Jourdain Center, 1655 Foster St., serves a meal at the “Wisdom Café” every Wednesday. When you come for lunch, please make a reservation for your meal for the following Wednesday.
Roller Skating
Starting in fall 2011, roller skating for all ages has returned to Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center! A schedule is posted here>>>.
Middle School Council
New members are invited to join the combined Middle School Council of Fleetwood-Jourdain Center and Mason Park Fieldhouse. The Council meets every Monday and Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. at Fleetwood-Jourdain Center.
