2013 CDBG Applications

The application period for 2013 CDBG funds is now closed.

The City of Evanston held two meetings for organizations interested in applying for 2013 City of Evanston Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. The City (and CDBG) fiscal year is January 1 - December 31, 2013. For an application to be considered for funding, a representative (staff, board or other volunteer) of the organization must attend one of the pre-application meetings at the Lorraine H. Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Avenue in Evanston. Dates, times and room numbers were:

  • Tuesday, July 10 at 10 AM in room 2404
  • Thursday, July 12 at 6 PM in room 2403

Topics included:

  • Eligibility for funding
  • Priorities of the 2010-2014 Consolidated Plan, including Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy Areas
  • Reporting and compliance requirements
  • Application process – applications must be submitted online via ZoomGrants, an online grants application & management system.

Applications for Public Services, Public Facilities & Infrastructure, and Housing closed at 5pm on 8/17/12. Receipt of applications submitted by the deadline will have been confirmed by email.

30-day public comment period for the One-Year Action Plan, which includes the 2013 CDBG Program, opens on or about October 5, 2012. A draft of the 2013 One-Year Action Plan will be posted on the City's website; printed copies will be available for review at the City's Planning & Zoning office, 2100 Ridge Avenue, Evanston, Room 3000.
