Viewing Planned Development Proposals:

Physical copies of proposed Planned Developments are available for viewing at the following locations:

  • Planning and Zoning Division Room 3000 of the Evanston Civic Center, 2100 Ridge, during business hours (8:30am to 5pm).

Rules: (Including Procedures for Public Hearings)

All interested parties, public commentors, applicants must understand and abide by the Rules of the Plan Commission.  Please take a moment to review the rules.

How to Submit Comments to the Plan Commission:

Comments can be made at the public hearing, per the Procedures for Public Hearings in the Plan Commission Rules. If you are not able to attend the hearing and wish to submit comments in writing:

  • Comments should be addressed to the Plan Commission Chair and Members.
  • Emails may be sent to the General Planner, Craig Sklenar at csklenar@cityofevanston.org. Comments may be typed in the body of an email or attached as a Word document or PDF.
  • Handwritten letters and signed hardcopy letters may be faxed to (847) 448-8120 or sent to the following address:
    • Plan Commission c/o General Planner
    • City of Evanston
    • 2100 Ridge Ave, Room 3000
    • Evanston, IL 60201
  • Comments should be received by 5pm on the day of the Plan Commission meeting.
  • QUESTIONS may be directed to Craig Sklenar, General Planner, at (847) 448-8683 or via e-mail, csklenar@cityofevanston.org.
