The Service Desk Officers handle walk-in and telephone non-emergency complaints, requests for information and calls for service. Besides providing support services (i.e. supplies, forms, computer information, emergency and nonemergency telephone numbers, referral information, warrant status information, etc.) to field units, the Bureau is responsible for the processing, detention, feeding, monitoring, bonding and transportation of prisoners.

 

The Officers administer the City's Alarm Ordinance and act as deputy clerks for the Circuit Court for bonding purposes.
