Project Timeline
Please note that the timeline is subject to change for a variety of factors. The City will do its best to keep residents up-to-date on all developments.
This project is expected to take approximately one year from kick-off in September 2011 until final clean-up is finished by August 2012. Initial preparation work and work along the embankment wall will begin in September and extend into early November 2011.
A majority of the work along the bridges (viaducts) will take place in spring and early summer 2012. At times, the project sites will be bustling with activity, while at other times they will be quiet. CTA’s contractors completing the project, Kiewit Infrastructure Group, are trying to complete this critical project quickly and safely as possible with as minimal disruption as possible to Evanston residents' lives.
