Benefit Card Program
In order to streamline how senior social service programs are administered, the “Evanston Benefit Card” was introduced on March 1, 2011.
This will make programs more accessible to seniors and allow cardholders to receive a discount at participating Evanston businesses. Residents may qualify or re-qualify for certain benefits in the community, such as Subsidized Taxicab Program, Vehicle Sticker Discount, Recreation Program Fee Assistance, Yard Waste Stickers & Cart Discount, and the Handyman Program.
Click here for a summary of programs and services.
You may apply for an Evanston Benefit Card at the Levy Senior Center from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesdays. Please bring proof of age, income and Evanston residency. If you are age 80 or older, you must only provide proof of age and Evanston residency.*
