Prescription Discount Card
The City of Evanston offers a program to reduce the costs of prescription drugs for residents who are without medication coverage or have prescriptions that are not covered by insurance or other programs.
The Prescription Discount Card is available to Evanston residents through a program sponsored by the National League of Cities (NLC). The card is FREE to all Evanston residents, regardless of age, income or existing health insurance. By using this card, you may save an average of 20% off the regular retail price of prescription drugs. Medications may be purchased at pharmacies throughout Evanston, as well as at participating pharmacies across the country.
Evanston residents do not need to complete an enrollment form or pay a fee to obtain a discount on medications. To obtain the discount, City residents simply present the card at participating pharmacies.
To access the program online and print a card, check drugs prices and locate participating pharmacies, click HERE>>>.
Residents also may pick up a card at the following locations:
- All Evanston pharmacies
- Levy Senior Center
- City of Evanston libraries and recreation centers
For more information, please contact Audrey L. Thompson, Long-Term Care Ombudsman at 847-448-8173 or athompson@cityofevanston.org.
This is not insurance. Discounts are only available at participating pharmacies. By using this card, participants agree to pay the entire prescription cost less any applicable discount. Savings may vary by drug and pharmacy.
