Yard Waste Discount

The City of Evanston provides a discount on the City yard waste stickers required for pick-up to Evanston income-eligible seniors over the age of 65 and residents who qualify for Illinois Circuit Breaker due to disability.

Evanston residents must have yard waste stickers on their bagged leaves for pick-up or purchase/use a yard waste cart. The 30-gallon kraft paper lawn waste bags are available in packages at local stores. There is a $1.75 charge per yard waste sticker to be affixed to each yard waste paper bag and/or tree trimming bundle for pick-up.


Two yard stickers can be purchased for the price of one with the Evanston Benefit Card.

There is a limit of two stickers per week. Cardholders may purchase yard waste stickers from the City Collector’s office and the Levy Senior Center and receive their discount by simply showing the Evanston Benefit Card.

A yard waste cart may be purchased at a $5 discount at the Civic Center only by simply showing the Evanston Benefit Card.
