Illinois Home Weatherization Assistance Program (IHWAP)

Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

LIHEAP is a federally funded assistance program that administers both a Winter Heating Program and a Summer Cooling Program to help income qualified households pay their electricity bills. Nicor Existing Home Retrofit Program

Aims to help select homeowners reduce their natural gas consumption by analyzing their energy use, recommending weatherization measures, and facilitating installation. Participants will receive financial rebates for installing recommended measures. For more information about this program, please call 877-886-4239.

 

Nicor Gas Assistance for Activated Military Personnel

Nicor Gas Sharing Program

The Nicor Gas Sharing Program provides one-time annual grants to qualified residential customers. Administered by the Salvation Army, the Sharing Program is funded by direct contributions from Nicor Gas' customers and employees. For details on how to apply, call Nicor at (888) 642-6748.

 

Nicor Low-to-Moderate Income Program

Offers home weatherization and furnace upgrades to customers with household incomes between 200 and 300 percent of the federal poverty guidelines, as identified by Community Action Agencies.
