Bills are mailed and/or emailed during the first week of the billing month and

Water Rates:  Minimum charge every two months (effective 1/1/12) based upon water meter size as follows:

ebilling1.pngThe minimum service charge includes the first five hundred cubic (500 cubic ft) of water consumed. $1.75 per 100 cubic feet of usage over minimum.

 

 

Sewer Rate:  Minimum sewer charge every two months $19.70 includes first five hundred cubic feet (500 cu.ft.) of water usage.

$3.94 per 100 cubic feet of water usage

Tax exempt properties: $4.53 per 100 cubic feet in excess of 10,000 cu. Ft. of water consumed in a billing cycle.

Sanitation Service Charge Fee:

$14.95 per month per housing unit (95 gal cart)
$7.95 per month per housing unit (65 gal cart)
$7.95 per month per housing unit (each additional cart)

Past Due Charges & Shut-Off Procedures

A 10% Penalty will be applied to water, sewer and recycling charges when payment has not been received by 5:00 p.m. on the due date. Service will be discontinued if the bill remains unpaid for more than 30 days after the due date shown on the statement. Service will not be resumed until all arrears plus an additional charge of $25.00 have been paid. A $75.00 charge applies if water is turned on after hours. The City assumes no responsibility for what may happen on the premises as a result of the water being turned off.

High Water Bill

In most instances, higher than normal water usage is caused by undetected leaks in the flush tank of the toilets, as these are not visible to the homeowner. We suggest you check your flush tanks periodically. File a service request: "Why is my water bill so high?"

Payments are accepted at the City Collector's Office located on the 1st floor or you may also use the 24 hour Depository Box located on the west side of the building. Payments made at the Depository Box after 10:30 am will be credited on the next business day.
