More than 40 employers providing summer and year-round employment will be present, including NorthShore University HealthSystem, Northwestern University, Rotary International, Six Flags Great America (transportation provided), McGaw YMCA, Salvation Army-Evanston, YoFresh Yogurt Cafe, Cinemark / Century Theatres, and more. Sponsors also include ZS Associates.

Youth age 17 and 18 years are especially encouraged to attend the job fair, as many opportunities exist for both summer and year-round employment.

Pre-Fair Resume & Interview Skills Workshops
Students are encouraged to increase their chances of being hired and get an opportunity to jump the line at the job fair by attending a Pre-Fair Resume & Interview Skills Workshop, sponsored by the Youth Job Center. Workshops will be held at ETHS HUB (W220) on Wednesday, February 22, 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Saturday, February 25, from 9 a.m. to noon (Wildkit Academy); and Wednesday, March 1, 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Students are encouraged to register for a workshop at cityofevanston.org/workshop.

In 2016, with the help of community organizations and local businesses, as well as partnerships with ETHS and the Youth Job Center, the MSYEP held its largest job fair ever. Nearly 700 Evanston youth attended the event with more than 600 securing summer or year-round employment. Mayor Tisdahl’s goal is to provide 1,000 Evanston youth with summer jobs.

Collaborations with individuals, companies, and organizations, such as Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin, Cinemark Theatres, Evanston Township High School, and Northwestern University, contributed greatly to the success of last year's program. Businesses interested in supporting and/or attending this year’s job fair and program can register online at cityofevanston.org/msyep or contact Youth & Young Adult Program Coordinator Porschia Davis at 847-448-8049 or youth@cityofevanston.org.
