Provide Input on Planned Developments
The City of Evanston’s Community Development Department has launched a new online engagement tool, coUrbanize, to gather public input on planned development projects in Evanston. The tool will be used on a trial basis through 2017 for the 1450-1508 Sherman Avenue planned development, and could be expanded to include other projects in 2018.
coUrbanize allows community members to offer their feedback on planned development projects, even if they aren't able to attend public meetings to provide comments in person. The tool makes it easy to review project documents and timelines, add ideas and suggestions, receive email and text message updates on projects, and share information on social media, both before and during the development process.
“As Evanston continues to progress, it’s important that the City’s planning process is more accessible to more residents,” said Mayor Stephen Hagerty. “We want more voices to be heard as we build Evanston's future."
