Procurement 101 Workshop Set for May 11
The City of Evanston will host "Evanston Procurement 101," its sixth annual free workshop that helps local businesses and contractors learn how they can do business with Evanston's large organizations. This year's theme is "Connect to Your Local Business Community."
The workshop will be held on Friday, May 11, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, at the Lorraine H. Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave., Parasol Room (4th floor). Check-in will start at 8 a.m. Participants may register online now through Monday, April 30 at cityofevanston.org/
Participants will learn about procurement processes, anticipated projects, and bidding practices during presentations by the City of Evanston, Northwestern University, Rotary International, the Evanston Chamber of Commerce, Evanston/Skokie School District 65, Evanston Township High School District 202, and the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago. Attendees also will have the opportunity to participate in small table discussions with organization representatives.
