FJT's 'The Mountaintop,' by Katori Hall

"The Mountaintop," a surrealistic fantasy play set in Room 306 at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, is about a chance encounter between Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and a chamber maid, who prompts him to confront his life, his legacy and the future of his people on the eve of his assassination in 1968. FJT's production is directed by Artistic Director Tim Rhoze and performed by FJT award-winning actors Jelani Pitcher and Shadana Patterson.
Tickets are $20 in advance online at fjtheatre.com and at Evanston recreation community centers. Tickets may be purchased at the door on the performance day for $30. Group sale tickets are available, starting at $12 per ticket.
FJT's Summertime Season will feature three plays and two concerts, as well as an end-of-season Wine & Dine Gala.
