City Announces Winners of 2020 National Drinking Water Week 3rd Grade Art Contest
In honor of 2020 National Drinking Water Week (NDWW), May 3-9, the City hosted an art contest for 3rd grade students in Evanston to celebrate the contest's theme, "There when you need it." The purpose of NDWW is to celebrate water by recognizing the essential role it plays in our daily lives.
Community members were encouraged to cast their vote online to determine this year’s award winners.
- People's Choice Award: Two winners, Ben Miller from St. Athanasius School and Sophia Lunt from St. Athanasius School
- Mayor's Choice Award: Lillian Bird from Orrington Elementary School
- Water Spirit Award: Colin David from St. Athanasius School
Winners will receive a plaque recognizing their achievement, to be distributed at a later date.
