The City of Evanston has introduced a self-service kiosk, through a partnership with CityBase, at the Robert Crown Community Center, located across from multipurpose rooms A, B, and C. The Center is is open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering significant flexibility for residents to make payments.
The kiosk allows residents to pay water bills and parking tickets quickly and efficiently. Integrated into Evanston's billing system, the kiosk streamlines revenue collection processes and offers real-time account balance inquiries and payment capabilities.
Residents can now make payments at their convenience throughout the billing cycle without incurring any convenience fees. This option aligns with the City's commitment to providing accessible, flexible payment options for all residents. Whether you prefer to pay in cash, check, or credit card, the kiosk accepts all these forms of payment.
Through this partnership, City staff have access to CityBase's Revenue Management tool, allowing them to carry out their customer service and reconciliation processes in a more efficient and streamlined manner.
“This kiosk not only simplifies the process of paying water bills and parking tickets, but it also paves the way for a future of expanded payment options. As we continue to prioritize accessibility and convenience, we look forward to introducing more innovative solutions like this,” said City Manager Luke Stowe.
