Evanston Children's Theatre

Children age 8 through eighth grade perform in two productions per year. Auditions are held the first week back at school, each August and January. All performances are held at the Levy Center, 300 Dodge Avenue.   The ECT is funded in part by the Illinois Arts Council, A State Agency.

We are a no cut program.  Audition workshops for the spring play, a specially commissioned mystery will be held on January 10 at Noyes Cultural Arts Center: Cast A auditions at 9 am to 11, and Cast B will audition 11:15 to 1:15 pm.

The workshop will  simulates the rehearsal process with theatre games, movement exercises, singing and line reading. Every child who shows up and registers gets a part! There is a participation fee.  Please register in Amilia well before auditions so you will get all of the emails. 

The Tuesday cast rehearses on Tuesdays from 4 to 6:15 pm at Levy Center and Saturdays from 9 to 11am at Noyes Cultural Arts Center

The Thursday cast rehearses on Thursdays from 4 to 6:15pm  at Levy Center and Saturdays from 11:15 am to 1:15pm at Noyes Cultural Arts Center.

 We also offer ECT Jr.  a Saturday workshop for 5 to 7 year olds at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center. 

Performances of the Spring Show will be  at the Levy Center on March 13,14 and 15
