Celebrate Pride Month with Community Events

Evanston Pride, Inc. Car Parade

Sunday, June 1  |  11 a.m.  |  ETHS Parking Lots 2 & 2A (off Lake Street)

Participate in some fun festivities and decorate your cars with Evanston Pride, Inc. Enjoy some amazing performances this year from True Colors and Clamor & Lace. Evanston Pride will also have snacks and drinks available as well as some items for folks to decorate their cars. Please arrive no later than 12:30 p.m. (if you're not participating in the festivities) in order to organize and launch the parade at 1 p.m. The parade will end at Ingraham Park (Simpson & Asbury behind the Civic Center). Bring your own chairs, blankets, snacks, and/or activities if you'd like to stick around and relax. There won't be any park activities planned, but folks are invited to join in for an after-parade hang. Car Parade Details.

Central Street First Fridays Pride's ALIVE!

Come celebrate spring on Central Street! In May, Central Street officially kicked off its new monthly-themed event series, First Fridays ALIVE!, where businesses, eateries and community come together after hours until 7 PM for themed promotions and in-store fun! The June 6 theme is Pride's ALIVE! where Central Street businesses will show their pride for being a part of Central Street, showing off the colors of the rainbow with decor, promos, and entertainment in celebrations of Pride Month. More Info.

Candlelight Vigil & Remembrance Ceremony

Sunday, June 8  |  7 p.m.  |  Pride Park (St. Paul Park on Chicago Ave. & Washington St.)

Join Evanston Pride, Inc.  for a remembrance for those that have been lost within the queer and trans community. While they may no longer be here physically, we must continue to let their light shine by sharing memories and speaking their names. Learn more

Interfaith Family Pride Fest

Sunday, June 8  |  2 p.m. to 5 p.m.  |  Raymond Park (1445 Hinman Ave.)

 

Evanston faith communities will host the second annual Interfaith Family Pride Festival (IFPF) in Raymond Park from 2:00-5:00 PM on Sunday, June 8. IFPF 2025 will feature music and performances by Drag Bubbe Merriam Levkowitz, the Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus, Artemis Singers, True Colors, and Tenor Henry Pleas with Pianist Kent Brooks from the main stage on Hinman Avenue. Attendees will also enjoy games, art, and free snacks, including ice cream from C&W Ice Cream Parlor. This event is free and open to the public. All are welcome! RSVp online to participate. LGBTQIA+ Pride Community Picnic

Saturday, July 26  |  11 a.m. to 3 p.m.  |  Ridgeville Park (Ridge Ave & South Blvd)

All of Evanston's LGBTQIA+ community and allies are invited to a picnic in Ridgeville Park, hosted by Evanston Pride, Inc. This event will feature a fun-filled program centering around and celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community with a diverse line-up of entertainment, food options, and booths offering a host of services, resources, and activities for all.
