Seasonal Hiring Information

The City of Evanston seasonal hiring information is outlined below. Those who have been offered a seasonal position–new and returning staff–will be required to complete the following:

1) Hiring Packet

Only completed hiring packets will be accepted. Complete all required forms in their entirety before submitting.  Packets must include the following and returned to the hiring manager:

-Identification:

Government issued identification including a photo AND I-9 acceptable documents will be required. 

Categories always sorted by seq (sub-categories sorted within each category)
Documents sorted by SEQ in Ascending Order within category

Fingerprinting Applicant Form

(includes instructions and locations) Must be taken with you to the fingerprinting location. This apply only to applicants that are 18 years and older.
CANTS 22 Form

Employees working in the Parks and Recreation Department must complete this form acknowledging they will become a mandated reporter as part of their recreation employment.
Direct Deposit

( your pay is deposited directly into an existing bank account) Read form thoroughly and provide appropriate bank account verification in addition to this form. Include a copy of a voided check.
Payroll Card Election Form

2) Drug Testing

All seasonal employees must drug test each year. Contact your hiring manager to order a drug test.

3) Fingerprinting  (Age 18 years and up only)

All seasonal workers age 18 years and up must be fingerprinted (those who fingerprinted in 2023 or 2024 need not re-fingerprint this year)
