Beach Clean-Up Requests

We are grateful for your interest in organizing a group to participate in beach cleaning efforts within the City of Evanston. Anyone wishing to bring a group to one of our beaches for a beach clean-up outing should complete this form. A staff member will get back to you via email within three (3) business days. Beach clean ups are prohibited during normal swimming and beach operating hours. 

Certificate of Insurance

A Certificate of Insurance from your agency will be required. The City of Evanston must be listed as the certificate holder and additionally insured. COIs should be submitted to Katie Grundin at kgrundin@cityofevanston.org no later than seven (7) days before your trip. COIs can also be uploaded in the online submission form. Volunteer Waiver

A volunteer waiver must be signed by every participant, or the participant's guardian, if they are under the age of 18. The waiver can be found online.

Equipment

A small quantity of beach clean-up equipment is available upon request. Group organizers are strongly encouraged to bring essential items such as gloves, trash pickers, and garbage bags to facilitate the clean-up process. Garbage bags should be placed into the trash bins located at beach entrances.
