The applicant, Davis Street Development Company 2015, LLC, submits a planned development to construct a 19-story Class Aoffice building with 40 parking spaces and  4,510 SF of ground floor retail space. The proposed development will preserve the landmarked University Building at the corner of Davis Street and Chicago Avenue.

Current Status: Planned Development currently under staff review.

The Legacy Planned Development

The applicant, Horizon Realty Group, submits a planned development application to construct a 19-story apartment building with 240 units, 85 subterranean parking spaces, and approximately 3,540 SF of ground floor retail space. 

Current Status:  Planned Development application currently under staff review.

The applicant, Paul Janicki, submits a planned development application in order to construct an 11-story Class A office building. There will be 76 on-site parking spaces.

Current Status:  The City Council Introduced Ordinance 4-O-19 at its February 11, 2019 meeting.Revised PD Application Submitted 02.19.19

1012-1034 Chicago Avenue Potential Planned Development

    The owners of The Autobarn and Oscar Isberian Rugs shared their intentions of exploring opportunities for the redevelopment of their properties on the west side of Chicago Avenue, between Greenleaf and Lee Streets, as they reposition their businesses’ footprints on Chicago Avenue. The parcels are zoned a mix of C1a and C2, and directly abut the CTA railway embankment.

    The property owners, in partnership with the City, initiated a process to engage both the community and City staff on feedback for the site prior to the selection of a developer and determining a development project for the site. The public was invited to participate in two initial opportunities, summaries of input is provided below:
