Facilities Management was merged with Fleet Services in late 2017 under one management. The newly created Facilities and Fleet Division improved efficiencies between the two very technical, high demand and fast-paced groups through shared resources. The Facilities and Fleet Division oversees, maintains and makes improvements to over 45 city-owned facilities and assets. The Facilities team performs preventative maintenance, makes repairs, designs and constructs improvements in-house, partners with Engineering on large scale construction projects and participates in emergency preparedness in all City buildings. We work hand in hand with the Building Managers and with all City staff to provide cooperative customer service through a collective team effort.
Facilities Management consists of the management team & skilled tradesmen. Field and support staff work hard on a daily basis to provide technical knowledge, assess, maintain, repair, design and make improvements to our buildings. This allows City staff to perform their duties in safe and proper surroundings. Facilities Management's approach is to guide and support City staff during both minor and major building changes and projects. Our team makes decisions in regards to the proper design, durability, repair, maintenance and operations of all building systems within these facilities.
