The Facilities Management Division oversees and maintains approximately 45 city-owned facilities along with park lighting, drinking and decorative fountains in parks, park shelters, parking garage and lot maintenance, parking meter repair and collection, the Church Street Boat Ramp, setups for Special Events and other miscellaneous items. While we perform preventative maintenance, make many repairs and design and construct small to medium improvements in-house, we also consult on the large scale projects in which the design and construction are coordinated and managed by the Engineering Bureau of the Public Works Agency. The Building Managers at each facility are assigned by different City Departments and run programs, maintain basic functions, coordinate/perform cleaning and notify FM of any maintenance or emergency needs housed in our City buildings. We are partners with the assigned Building Managers and also with all City staff to provide cooperative customer service through a collective team effort.
The Facilities Management Division which consists of the management team, our many skilled and talented tradesmen, field and administrative staff work hard on a daily basis to provide technical knowledge, assess, maintain, repair, design and make improvements for our buildings so City staff can perform their duties in the proper surroundings. Facility Management's goal and approach is to guide and support City staff during both minor and major building changes and projects for all buildings so that well-informed decisions can be made in regards to the proper durability, repair, maintenance and operations of all building systems within these facilities.
