In 2024, the Department celebrated its 150th anniversary, prompting us to reflect on both recent and past accomplishments. Throughout our 150 years of service, much has changed. We have achieved significant victories and now face new and emerging challenges. However, throughout the years, one thing that hasn’t changed is our core commitment to putting the health, safety, and well-being of the Evanston community first. This is our guiding mission, now and for the next 150 years.
