Time Together is a City of Evanston Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department drop-in program for infants and toddlers (ages 0-4 years) at the Chandler-Newberger Center.
Welcome to Time Together!
Join us at Time Together, Evanston's only public open gym for young children from birth to age 4!
On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. (see specific schedule below), children are running, jumping, climbing, or sitting quietly with toys, books and puzzles, while spending quality time with their parent or caregiver. This program offers children a fun space to play and gives both children and adults an opportunity to make new friends. Our relaxing atmosphere is focused on interaction, the comfort and safety of our families, and a sense of community. The best part: We pick up all the toys!
Each session ends with a short circle time that includes singing, movement and a story.
All first-time guests attend our program for free.
Return drop-in visits are $11 for one child/caregiver and $13 for two children/caregiver. Families can purchase an 8-visit punch card for $66 for one child/caregiver, with punch cards being available for multiple children as well (please call Chandler-Newberger at 847-448-8252 for exact fees). Punch cards are kept at Chandler-Newberger and the punches never expire.
Join us on December 11 for a special holiday Time Together. Bring an item to donate to the Mayor's Holiday Food, Book and Toy drive and get in FREE!
Free parking is available in the Chandler-Newberger parking lot off Central Street in Evanston. Parking permits are available at the front desk. Our facility is located just across the street from Fire Station #3 and just west of the Central Street CTA Purple Line Station. 4-hour street parking is also available on Lincoln Street.
