2018 Starlight Concerts & Movies schedule

Free entertainment in the parks this summer!

 

Starlight Concerts in the Park

The 2018 Starlight Concert Series will feature free outdoor concerts at park locations throughout Evanston. Concerts are presented by the City of Evanston Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department.

All Tuesday Starlight Concerts take place from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The rain site for Starlight Concerts is the Levy Senior Center, 300 Dodge Ave.

Interactive family activities will occur before each concert from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.

Kamen Park East Joel Paterson Band w/Oscar Wilson

A night of blues and R&B classics, paying tribute to Oscar Wilson’s many influences, including B.B. King, Muddy Waters and Ray Charles.

Juneteenth Celebration (food trucks on site 6pm)

Twiggs Park

Fast rising Poet, Singer-Songwriter and Activist returns to Twiggs stage.  Juneteenth celebration with food trucks on site

Bent Park Tangleweed Acoustic Power Trio playing original and traditional Bluegrass, Americana, Folk, Celtic and many other styles.

A Salsa group that feeds off the energy of the crowd and aims to keep the dance floor moving

Brummel Park

South Boulevard Band Classic R&B and Rockin’ soul tunes will energize your evening.

 Tukkiman

A unique mix of Afro-Beat, World, Hip Hop, Reggae and English Pop, his style is powerful and knows no borders.

Tues., July 31

Baker Park
Rosie & the Rivets' The premier Retro Rock & Roll show performing hits from the 1950s and 1960s, along with current music with a retro twist.

Bent Park: Central St. at Cowper Ave.
Brummel Park: Brummel St. at Elmwood Ave.
Canal Shores Golf Course: 1030 Central St. 
Dawes Park: Sheridan Rd. at Church St.
Kamen Park East: South Blvd. at Barton Ave.
Mason Park: Church St. at Florence Ave.
Twiggs Park: Dodge Ave. at Simpson St.

In the event of inclement weather for concerts, rain site updates will be available after 4:30 p.m. on the show date by calling 847-448-4311 (until 7 p.m.).

 

Starlight Movies in the Park

Movies in the Park-thumb-200x125-31131Movies will be shown on select evenings at dusk. Interactive family activities will be offered before movies, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free. Movies are cancelled in inclement weather.

Please note that the August 2 movie will begin at 7 p.m. (gates open at 6:15 p.m.)
