Our Take Two program encourages your child’s natural curiosity in a nurturing and active learning environment. Our caring teachers spend lots of time cuddling and talking with your child to instill trust and provide a healthy learning setting for movement, exploration and play. The program is geared to the specific developmental milestones of young children age two, which include grasping, walking, moving from parallel to interactive play, developing language, and socialization skills.

Time: 8am-Noon or 8am-6pm

Creative Play Preschool

The Creative Play Preschool has served the families of Evanston and nearby communities since 1988. The benefits of having a preschool in a community center-setting include being able to have students play in the large gym, the ice rink, grassy fields surrounding the facility, and at a variety of outdoor play areas in the neighborhood.

This program, defined as “innovative play with purpose” many years ago, has become a standard for the community center-based early childhood program. Our multi-age classroom provides the benefits of cooperative learning for both our oldest and youngest preschoolers, with daily activities which are developmentally appropriate for all. A broad variety of both unique and traditional activities are offered, including music and movement, and arts and crafts. Activities are both self-directed and designed for success. Children are required to be toilet-trained.

Age: 3-5 years

Time:  8am-Noon or 8am-6pm
