Pottery

Youth Beginner

Have you ever squeezed wet clay through your fingers? Do you want to turn your sculpture idea into a real piece or art? Students expand their imagination as they create clay sculptures, elbow pots, coils and more.

Age: 6-14 yrs.

Pop-Up Pottery Youth

You always wanted to try pottery but didn’t want a long-term commitment? Commit only for one class and learn whether pottery is a hobby for you.

Age: 6-14 yrs.

Family Clay Sculpture

A child and parent work as a team, creating clay treasures. Registration will be under the child name; enrollment is limited to 6 registrants to ensure individualized instruction. No class on Jan. 15.
Age: 5 yrs. and up

Adult Pottery

You will use the wheel and hand-build sculptures, pots, plates and other items. Make delightful gifts or create something for yourself!  Fee includes materials and firings.  

Age: 17 yrs. and up

Pop-Up Pottery for Adults

You always wanted to try pottery but didn’t want a long-term commitment? Commit only for one class and learn whether pottery is a hobby for you.

Drop-In

Use this time, at your own pace, to hone your pottery skills.  Instruction is not provided and finished pottery pieces will be fired in the regular fire rotation.

Age: 17 yrs. and up
Fee: $14 R/NR

 

Dance 

Creative Movement

Children enter the wonderful world of dance through enjoyable exercise, dance movement, games, music and creative fun. The fundamentals incorporate body and spatial awareness, emphasizing development rhythm and coordination. A minimal introduction to ballet and its terminology in included. Leotards, tights, and slippers are required.

Age: 3-5 yrs.

Ballroom Dance

Learn popular ballroom dances, while improving your grace, posture and balance. A focus on technique makes this class especially beneficial for skaters and everyone will have fun. A partner is not a requirement.
Age: 18 yrs. and up

Beginning Swing Dance

You will learn how to dance to any style of music on the dance floor. There will be an introduction to swing dances from east to west coast, The Charleston to Lindy Hop, big band to current pop and hip hop. Singles or couples are welcome.    

Age: 18 yrs. and up

Salsa Dancing

Learn the basics of the popular Latin dances of Salsa, Meringue, and Bachata. Class instruction includes easy, fun groupings that will get you out on the dance floor in style. A dancing partner is not required.

Age: 18 yrs. and up

 

Martial Arts

Little Dragons Karate

Little dragons develop a more confident and enthusiastic outlook, which provides a strong foundation for the school years ahead. Your child will learn how to work with others and follow directions through positive social interaction.  Program will enhance development in a fun and motivating environment. No class Jan. 15. All Ages Karate

Karate training helps build cardiovascular fitness, speed, strength, flexibility, body awareness, control, and precision in movement. It also strengthens inner well-being and self-esteem. Tai Chi

Tai Chi Levels 1 and 2

Tai Chi Chuan, an ancient Chinese form of exercise, is known for its slow, circular hand motions and strong dance-like foot movements. Concentration and sequential movement is the key to success.

Age: 16 yrs. and up

Tai Chi Level 3

A continuation of the tai chi form begun and developed in levels 1 and 2. Previous class experience required for level 3.
