Tubing Parties - Not Being Offered in 2020

The City of Evanston will provide a boat, driver, an additional lifeguard, personal flotation devices and tube and will take you and your guests on an exhilarating trip on Lake Michigan. Your guests will have access to and reserved space on Dempster St. Beach for mingling and access to Greenwood Beach for swimming.


Weekdays, 4:30-7:30pm and weekends, 3:30-7:30pm (schedule permitting)


8 years and up


Book your party in person at the Dempster St. Beach Office.


Fee, 2½ hour party: $450 R/$650 NR

Schedule Your Own Historical Kayak Tour - Not Being Offered in 2020

Schedule a kayak twilight tour with five or more friends. No experience is required. Explore Evanston history, it’s lakefront and Daniel Burnham’s Evanston based visions for the region. Stops include the wreck of the George Morley, the Grosse Point Lighthouse and the Baha’i House of Worship (Temple) in Wilmette. As a participating couples savings option, one person registers and pays the “city’s kayak” fee and the other person registers and pays the “BYO kayak” fee.
