Pooch Park is a 2.7 acre park that is an off-leash fenced dog recreational facility. It is jointly operated by the City of Evanston and Skokie Park District.

There is a separate “agility” area and separate puppy/small dog area. Drinking fountains for both people and dogs are provided.

Before purchasing a membership, your dog(s) must have the appropriate shots and an up-to-date “Cook County Animals and Rabies Ordinance Verification” form must be turned in at the time of registration. Please print this form and bring it to your vet for verification.

Pooch Park permits are sold at the following locations:

Skokie Park District
Oakton Community Center, 4701 Oakton St., Skokie
Devonshire Cultural Center, 4400 Greenwood, Skokie
Weber Leisure Center, 9300 Weber Park Place, Skokie

City of Evanston
*Robert Crown Center, 1701 Main St., Evanston

*The Robert Crown Center collects your forms and processes your payment and then notifies the Skokie Park District of the purchase.  You will then receive your Pooch Park permit in 5-7 business days from the Skokie Park District.

Fees
Pooch Park fees are $45 for the first dog, then $10 for each additional dog. The local code determines the number of dogs allowed in a household.

Parking
Parking is available in the lot for the Dammrich Rowing Center, which is just south of Pooch Park. The lot entrance is on Oakton St. From the parking lot, walk north past the Rowing Center to the Pooch Park entrance.
