Robert Crown Community Center and Ice Complex offers a wide range of recreation activities for all ages.

The Robert Crown Community Center offers sports programs, classes in the visual and performing arts, and after-school and preschool programs.

The Robert Crown Ice Complex provides ice skating, figure skating, hockey, speedskating and broomball. Skates may be rented to attend the public skating sessions and may be rented for use during skating classes.

Admission:   Studio Rink $6 Adults, $4 Student w/ID, $2 Child 5 & under.
Main Rink: $7, $5 Students w/ID, $3 Child 5 & under.
Skate rental: $3 per pair

All ages are welcome for a fun filled evening of skating to the live DJ on the Main Rink.  Admission to special skate events is only a dollar more per person!

Host a private ice skating, hockey or broomball party.

Host an indoor skating party during public skate sessions for only $125 at the Robert Crown Ice Complex. The skating party package for up to 20 people includes ice time during any public skate session, 20 skate rental tickets and two tables in the east lobby. You just bring the guests and refreshments!  Additional skating tickets may be purchased for $3 each up to a maximum of 30 total for the party. Advanced reservations are recommended and payment is required at time of booking. For reservations or more info., please call 847-448-8258.

You can have a cool private celebration when you rent a rink! Celebrate your birthday, anniversary or invite your friends to Robert Crown Center for a private ice skating, hockey or broomball party! Skate rental is just $2 per pair and broomball equipment rental is $25 per party group. Advance registration is important, so please call 847-448-8258 today.

Studio Rink Fee: $160/hour (Non-Prime: $120/hour)

Speed Skating

Shani news 2695Multiple Gold Medal Olympian and World Record Holder Shani Davis learned to speed skate at the Robert Crown Center, starting at age six.

The Evanston Speed skating Club provides coaching and direction to youth (age 3+) and adults interested in improving their speed skating skills and/or wanting to compete in the sport. Through the Club, competition for all ages and levels is available throughout the season at local skating facilities. Club members are part of the Amateur Skating Association of Illinois.

Tuesday's  6:55-7:55pm  $20 drop-in fee & Thursdays 5:40-6:40pm  $20 for an hour of drop-in ice 

Evanston Youth Hockey Association

Evanston Hockey House Program
The Evanston Hockey house program serves players from Mites through Bantams who are interested in hockey, and typically want to play on weekends.

The Evanston Hockey house program emphasizes skill development and fun. Mites have in-house games and practices while Squirts and above compete against other North Shore programs. Those interested in playing or coaching should contact Del Morris, Director of Evanston Hockey at 847-894-1521 or James Faedtke at 847-859-7824.

Evanston Hockey Travel Program
Evanston Hockey administers the travel hockey program based at Robert Crown Center. Teams are offered from Mites through High School. Players have a more intense practice and playing schedule geared toward a higher level of competition. The Evanston Hockey travel program offers more ice time, professional coaching and a higher level of competition. The travel teams compete in the Northern Illinois Hockey League, play games throughout the Chicago area against other travel programs and attend tournaments in nearby states.
