UPDATE: 2018 Summer Camp Online Registration to Reopen on Saturday, February 17 at 8 a.m.

Online summer camp registration for Evanston residents who live in zip codes 60201 and 60202 will reopen on Saturday, February 17 at 8 a.m. Please note: Online registration will not reopen on Wednesday, February 14, as was previously communicated.

The City is adding resources and conducting additional testing to ensure that the online registration system can accommodate the increased volume of traffic expected. At least 25 percent of slots in each camp session have been reserved for online registration. In-person and phone registration will not be taken on February 17; however, phone support will be available from 8 a.m. to noon by calling 847-448-4311.

After the online registration period reopens on February 17, residents registering online will have the option of joining a waitlist if their desired camp(s) fill up. Online registration will remain open to residents after reopening on February 17.

On Monday, February 19, at 9 a.m., in-person registration will open to residents in zip codes 60201 and 60202 at all City recreation community centers and at the Parks, Recreation & Community Services office located in the Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave., Room 1100. Residents may also register by phone at this time by contacting 3-1-1.

On Monday, February 26, at 10 a.m., online, in-person and phone registration will open to nonresidents.

All residents who successfully registered for camps on Saturday, February 10 should have received an email receipt. Those who were not able to register for their desired camp(s) will be contacted by Parks & Recreation staff prior to the online registration period reopening on February 17. The City sincerely apologizes to all of those who experienced technical difficulties with the online registration system on February 10 and will work to ensure an improved camp registration process in the future.

For questions or more information, please call/text 847-448-4311 or simply dial 3-1-1 in Evanston.

Summer Camp Registration Information

Please do not register for camp before you have read the policy pages in the Summer Camp Guide.
Deposits are never refunded and there are important policies regarding deposits, balance due deadlines, etc. that you need to know before registering.

New! Information/Emergency Contact Form

The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department has teamed up with CampDocs to help improve the health and safety of children enrolled in our camp programs this summer. CampDocs is one of the leading secure electronic health record systems for campers. Instead of filling out paper forms and dropping them off for each camp your child attends, you will be asked to enter health/emergency contact  information  through the encrypted online system. Detailed instructions of how to register and enter your camper(s) information will be available in the second half of March 2018.

Special Needs, Medications & Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
Does your child need any special accommodations to allow him/her full participation? Examples are medication, behavior management and physical assistance.

The City of Evanston welcomes the participation of all individuals in our programs, including those with disabilities. We are fully committed to complying with the ADA and providing reasonable accommodations to facilitate participation in our programs. The sooner we know about your special situation, the more time we have to make reasonable accommodations to improve your child’s recreational experience with us!
At the time of registration, it is the responsibility of a parent/guardian to contact our inclusion staff, to make arrangements for any accommodations. Those registering closer to the start of camp must contact our inclusion staff no later than 2 weeks before camp starts; otherwise, camp attendance will be delayed.  If you have any questions, please contact inclusion staff at recreation@cityofevanston.org; 847-448-8045 (voice); 847-448-8064 (TTY) or 800-526-0857 (IL Relay Center voice transmission).
