Report of citywide sick time usage by department. This report does include people who took FMLA leaves (maternity leave, extended medical leave, etc.).

A New York Times article reported the Cook County average sick leave was 6.64 hours per month in 2012. According to the article, the national average for state and local government workers is 3.6 hours per month figure based on a 2010 report by the Federal Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The 2015 citywide average is 3.59 hours/staff/month. Read an analysis of 2015 sick time usage. The City of Evanston will publish this data each year.
