Various City departments provide accommodations for persons with a  disability.

For assistance with these or any other City of Evanston programs, please call/text 847-448-4311. For convenience, you may dial 311 while in Evanston.

City Clerk's Office 
Temporary parking permit applications are available for persons with short term disabilities; Paratransit (PACE) information for accessible travel is available.

Commission on Aging
Provides resources for long-term care facilities; resolves senior citizen concerns and issues; and advocates for their civil and legal rights.

Subsidized Taxicab program
Low-cost transportation is available to qualified individuals with disabilities and income qualified seniors. Coupons cost $3.00 per one way trip and can be purchased through the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Office, Levy Senior Center, and the Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center.

Evanston Public Library
Accessible computer workstations are available for blind or visually impaired and mobility impaired patrons.

Human Relations 
Education of tenants and landlords about local housing ordinances and education about rights for individuals in the area of employment.

Parking Enforcement 
Reserved disabled parking in front of residences (doctor’s certification explaining nature and length of disability required for this program).
