The City of Evanston remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and welcoming community for all residents, regardless of immigration or citizenship status. View the City's "Welcoming City Ordinance" (Ordinance 17-O-25), which was updated on Monday, January 13. The Evanston City Council also passed Resolution 93-R-25 (Prohibiting the Use of City of Evanston Property for Federal Civil Immigration Enforcement Operations and Providing Direction on Implementation of the Welcoming City Ordinance), on Monday, October 20.

Everyone in Evanston has basic rights, no matter their immigration status.
