Alley and Sidewalk Improvements

Project Summary:

This project includes the paving of unimproved alleys through the City’s Special Assessment Alley Paving Program or through the use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. The list of locations includes:

Project Scope
Alley North of Payne St, East of Crawford Ave Storm sewer installation, concrete pavement, and restoration.
Alley North of Grant St, East of Hartrey Ave Storm sewer installation, concrete pavement, restoration, and storm sewer extension from the alley east on Colfax St for approximately 360 feet.
Alley North of Lincoln St, East of Hartrey Ave Removal of existing storm sewer and pavement, storm sewer installation, concrete pavement, and restoration.
Dodge Ave and Lee St Pedestrian Crossing Installation of concrete medians, ADA ramps, solar-powered LED pedestrian crossing signs with push buttons, in-street signs, and striping.
Dodge Ave and Monroe St Pedestrian Crossing Installation of concrete medians, ADA ramps, solar-powered LED pedestrian crossing signs with push buttons, static pedestrian warning signs, in-street signs, and striping.
Sheridan Rd and Clinton Pl Pedestrian Crossing Sidewalk removal and replacement, ADA ramps, installation of solar-powered LED pedestrian crossing signs with push buttons, static pedestrian warning signs, in-street signs, and striping.
Sheridan Rd and Keeney St Pedestrian Crossing Removal of the southern pedestrian crossing, installation of solar-powered LED pedestrian crossing signs with push buttons, in-street signs, and striping.
Lee St Sidewalk Gap Infill Installation of ADA-compliant concrete sidewalk where none currently exists on Lee St east of Dodge Ave, pedestrian crossing improvements, and sidewalk improvements.
Greenwood St Sidewalk Gap Infill Installation of ADA-compliant concrete sidewalk where none currently exists on Greenwood St from McDaniel Ave to Fowler Ave, pedestrian crossing improvements, and sidewalk improvements.
Dempster St Beach Office Sidewalk Gap Infill Installation of ADA-compliant concrete sidewalk where none currently exists, pedestrian crossing improvements, and sidewalk improvements.
Downtown Sidewalk Improvements Removal of existing brick paver sidewalk and replacement with ADA-compliant concrete sidewalk with brick banding on Benson Avenue from Davis Street to Clark Street and on Clark Street from Benson Avenue to Sherman Avenue and associated restoration.
Greenwood Park Picnic Pad Installation of an ADA-compliant concrete sidewalk, a concrete picnic pad, and picnic accessories.
Traffic Calming - Speed Humps and Alley Bumps Installation of traffic-calming speed humps and alley speed bumps at various locations throughout the City.
Transit Stops Installation of ADA-compliant concrete sidewalks at transit stops on Lake Street from Dodge Avenue to Ridge Avenue and on Ridge Avenue from Dobson Street to Lake Street.
