Building & Development Services
The Building and Development Services Division assists residents, property owners, contractors, architects, developers and other parties with private construction projects and building maintenance within the City of Evanston. Construction permitting, building inspections, and property maintenance code enforcement are all responsibilities handled by this division of the Community Development Department. Building Permits
Find information here regarding the permit application process, required submittal documents, and contractor registration. Permit desk walk-in hours are Tuesday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
Building Inspections
