The City of Evanston's Health and Human Services Department (HHS) partnered with the Evanston Health Advisory Council (EHAC) and has completed a five-year strategic planning process to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the public health system in Evanston. The EPLAN reflects input from residents, community leaders, and health officials to identify priorities and effective interventions for improving community health. It demonstrates collaboration among various stakeholders and aims to assess current conditions and develop strategies for the identified health priorities.

  • A pilot program in partnership with Northwestern University and Evanston Community Foundation, providing households with direct monthly financial assistance for one year. Offering $500 monthly on a prepaid debit card as supplemental income.

  • Providing FREE clinical services, health screenings, and educational resources to the community in partnership with Ebenezer AME and TBF Health. Services range from blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, and more!
